Grab your running stuff and phone (yes, your phone) and meet the RPL community at the Old Baldwin Road Trailhead at the Ventura River Preserve on Sunday, July 21, at 7am. After a brief orientation, we’ll send you out running with a map to find up to four spots in the preserve where a stand is set up for you to take a picture of the surrounding landscape. Why? Taking pictures at certain locations is part of a community science effort to help Ojai Valley Land Conservancy with data collection on the changing conditions of the preserve. We’ll also have a few plants, trees, and birds for you to find along the way too! Runners of all abilities welcome. You can run or walk for as little as just a couple of miles, or as much as 10-12 miles. The event is free and ends at 10am with prizes and a raffle.
