I’ve always been motivated by moving through spaces that inspire awe. I grew up in Waitsfield, Vermont in the heart of the Mad River Valley, a place where cows outnumber people and roads compete with rivers for space on the valley floor. Exploring rugged sections of the Long Trail, skiing steep trees at Mad River Glen, and bushwhacking routes in the woods behind our house helped me discover my love for long days outside.
As a climate scientist and writer, I’ve built my career around understanding and advocating for natural ecosystems and the communities they support. At a time when the work ahead feels daunting and the world feels overwhelming, I continue to find inspiration, connection, and a sense of purpose in outdoor spaces and the people stepping up to protect them.
I am thrilled to be joining the RPL team to support communications. I look forward to helping this community continue to advocate for the places we love.
