Maria has a passion for community building and inclusion on and off the trail. Founder of Ventura Trail Mamas, an outdoor community for mothers who have a deep love for the outdoors.
She has a master’s degree in social work with training in palliative and end of life care. Working with terminally ill patients has instilled the importance of living a fulfilled life. For her, this includes cultivating community, caring for the land we roam on, and teaching the next generation to do the same. She looks forward to spearheading the Everyone Runs Fund!
When Maria is not working, you can find her outside—probably on a trail solo, but realistically with one of her three kids or golden retriever!
