Trail Work Series

Tri-State (NJ | NY | PA)

Welcome to the 2026 Tri-State Trail Work Series!

The Tri-State Trail Work Series will be hosted by The Running Kind and touch four different trail networks throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. Throughout this series we will be working with a variety of land management organizations including Monocacy Watershed Association, New York New Jersey Trail Conference, The Catskill Center, and Wildlands Conservancy. This series is designed to bring trail runners to a variety of locations in the Tri-State Area where they can become better acquainted with unique trail networks and ecosystems while participating in hands-on work to improve them.

All of the events are in partnership with The Running Kind. The Running Kind is a carbon-neutral trail running organization focused on the intersection of trail running and sustainability. They host trail races, community events, podcasts & more, all of which provide runners with an educational component to better connect to the trails they run on.

Each event will be limited to 20 volunteers, so reserve your spot through this link. The series is free for participation!

“Trail work is an amazing opportunity to slow down and truly appreciate the space that we utilize so often without much thought. There is something special about bringing a group of runners together to make a positive impact on the trail and I always find that people leave feeling better connected with nature and with each other. Most of the locations are on trails that we utilize for our races, so as a race director it is really beautiful to curate an experience for the runners to take part in before race day.”
