Welcome to the 2025 Colorado Trail Work Series.

We are excited to partner once again with Jefferson County Colorado Open Space and Trail Runner Volunteers to present the 2025 Trail Work Series in Colorado. This brings our local community of runners together to learn about and care for the living landscapes we run with. Through repetitive, hands-on service events with an educational component, we can share ecological values and create strong connections that inspire runners to care for the people and places they love.

This 2025 Colorado Trail Work Series will include 8 independent trail work events, each with its own short and unique educational component. Each event will be approved, permitted, and insured by the Jefferson County Open Space and managed by Runners for Public Lands volunteers. Participants are not required to attend all events but can earn prizes/incentives from our brand coalition sponsors including nomadix, HOKA, and GU for attending multiple events.

Registration opens on in February 2025. Please note that the days and times of all events are subject to change based on the discretion of the USFS, current conditions and weather.

“Trail work is a great way to put your own stamp on the grounds that we run. I absolutely love running a section of trail that I have helped maintain. It brings a new life to the trails that I  run repeatedly.”
